What home care services do you provide?                                                                                                    Life Light Health provides a variety of home care services that include personal care, homemaking and companionship, transportation services to a wide variety of individuals. Our wide range of home care services allows clients to stay in their homes for a longer period of time.

How much notice do you need?
Normally, we need three days notice but can place someone with 24 hours if need be.

How are your Caregivers selected?
All of our Caregivers are thoroughly interviewed, reference checked and screened. We conduct a private investigation into their criminal, civil and driving records. Every Caregiver is an employee of ours and they are bonded and insured for your peace of mind.

What makes LIFE LIGHT HEALTH better than other providers?                                                  One reason is the professionalism of our entire pool of Caregivers and the personal, caring commitment of our management staff. Our billing and scheduling processes are simple and convenient, yet efficient and very effective. We are the most affordable yet maintain the highest level of care for the client.

Does insurance cover the cost?

Only long-term care insurance policies. Health insurance generally does not cover these services. If you have long-term care coverage, we can accept assignment directly from your insurance carrier and bill them on your behalf.

Does any government program cover the cost?
Not usually. Medicare and Medicaid do not cover the cost of our services.

What if there is a couple living together?
Our base rates are for a single individual. There is generally a thirty percent (may be adjusted) surcharge for an extra individual in the home regardless of the level of care, if any, the second person needs.

Can you do five days a week if the client’s children can manage the care on the weekends?
Yes.

Can I interview the Caregivers first?
Our company is responsible for screening, hiring, managing and scheduling the Caregivers and we have many years experience in this area. Our initial evaluation with the client and family will help to develop a profile of the type of Caregiver the client needs and wants. If a client wants to change Caregivers for any reason, we will do so at no charge, as many times as necessary until the client is completely satisfied.

Can your service care for a client in a facility (hospital, nursing home, or assisted living)?
Yes. We can provide services to care facility residents who desire one-to-one companionship and personal care.

Can you accept payments weekly?
Yes.

Do you bill before or after service is rendered?
All service is prepaid, usually four weeks  for long term and weekly for short term care. An agreement is payment is due upon signing the agreement.

What if the client just wants to terminate service before the end of the service period in the contract?
They can do this by giving at least 5 days written notice. A refund will be made for all days of service not rendered, less the administrative start-up fee during the first service period. After that, a full refund will be made for any unused days. Refund payments will be sent within 30 days of the last day of service.

When are your home care services available?                                                                                            Our Caregivers are available for hourly, partial day, overnight and 24-hour care. Because each client's requirements are unique, we offer flexible or regularly scheduled visits. to top

Who are your home care Caregivers?                                                                                                           Life Light Health Caregivers carefully selects Certified Nurse Assistants, Home Health Aides, Personal Care Providers/Attendants, homemakers, and companions for home care and caregiving jobs. to top

What kind of training do you provide your home care Caregivers?                                                        Our Caregivers are provided continuing education; they participate in monthly in-services on topics such as Alzheimer's care, communication skills, oxygen monitoring, taking vital signs, etc. This ensures that our home care Caregivers are always building upon their knowledge and skills. to top

What do home care services cost?                                                                                                              Home care prices vary widely from location to location. Typically, hourly visits are more expensive per hour than visits that last 8 hours or longer. Because our home care services are customized to each client's particular wants and needs, the final price determination is made at the time of your free assessment. How do you pair home care Caregivers with clients?                                                                                Life Light Health  Caregivers are carefully and thoughtfully matched to clients to optimize the quality of care. The Caregiver Manager matches clients with the best Caregiver- based on personalities, skills, expertise, availability and interests. to top

How are home care Caregivers supervised?                                                                                                 All home care Caregivers are carefully supervised by a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse or Care Manager. Monthly quality assurance visits and regular reviews of the care plan ensure that the Caregiver is providing appropriate and high quality care. Our 24-hour Care Line allows clients, Caregivers and their supervisors to be in contact on weekends and throughout the night, for added support and security. to top

How do out-of-town family members stay updated on their loved one's care?                                   We will gladly e-mail you a weekly report to keep you acquainted with the care process. Of course, you may also call the office regularly for updates. After the monthly visit, we will be sure to inform you if any changes have occurred and if the care plan needs alteration. to top

We don't need a home care Caregiver every day of the week, but we want to know that Mom is safe. How can you help?                                                                                                                                      In addition to our regular visits, Life Light Health Caregivers can make calls to your loved ones home on any days that our Caregivers are not in their home. Care calls can be made as frequently as you prefer, and provide family members peace of mind. to top

My father is in an assisted living facility but could use some extra personal care. Can you help?   Our goal is to make things as easy for our clients and their loved ones as possible. If a client calls an assisted living location their "home", we are happy to provide supplementary services in a facility setting. Some facilities have rules that prevent home care agencies from providing care to their residents, but most do not. to top

I am the Director of Nursing at a nursing home and we're short on staff. Can Life Light Health Caregivers provide fill in home care staff?                                                                                    Life Light Health Caregivers can provide staffing services to facilities that need extra help. What are my other options with respect to home care?                                                                           One option is to hire an independent Caregiver to come into your home.
